2018 Bodwell Center Awards and Scholarships

Applications for the 2018 Bodwell Center Awards and Scholarships are now available.  The Bodwell Center gives awards annually to students, student groups, staff/faculty and community partners who go above and beyond to grow the culture of giving and serving at the University of Maine.  Past recipients have created vibrant fundraising events on campus, built strong partnerships between academic programs and non-profits in our community, and completed hundreds of hours of service to the surrounding communities.  Please refer to our Awards page for a description of each award available.  We strongly encourage applications and nominations from all over campus.

The Bodwell Center will also be offering four $2,500 scholarships through Servant Heart Scholarship Program.  This scholarship fund is made possible by an anonymous gift to benefit students who are committed to community service and volunteer outreach. The Servant Heart Scholarship is offered as an expression of the donors’ Christian faith. The scholarship fund is intended to benefit students who connect public service with their academic work and who apply practical solutions to real world problems. Applying students must exhibit their devotion to community service by having been recently involved in an outreach project.

Applications and nomination forms are available on the Bodwell Center website (Awards).  All forms are due by March 26, 2018 at 12:00 noon.  Recipients will be announced at the Student Life Awards Ceremony on Friday, April 6, 2018.  For more information, please contact Lisa Morin at 207.581.3091 or lisa.morin@maine.edu.
