Partners for Automated Vehicle Education (PAVE), a coalition of industry, nonprofits, and academics, seeks to bring the conversation about automated vehicles (AVs) to the public so everyone can play a role in shaping our future. In this video, PAVE sits down with members of the VEMI research team to discuss AVA, an innovative ride-hailing and localization smartphone application designed to seamlessly assist passengers with visual impairment and older adults during pre-journey planning, travel to pick-up locations, and vehicle entry.
