Pleasant Mountain is the tallest mountain in Southern Maine, and offers sprawling views of the surrounding area, all the way up to the White Mountains in New Hampshire. The mountain’s 11-mile trail network offers hikes of different lengths and difficulties, including the Ledges Trail, Fire Warden’s Trail, and Southwest Ridge Trail that all start in Denmark.
This local snowmobile club maintains Denmark’s snowmobiling trail network, connecting to Maine’s extensive statewide trail system. Get in touch with them for info about the trails and in-season events!
Located at the southern end of Moose Pond near central Denmark, this public beach is well-maintained and open all day during the summer. Other recreational activities provided by the town include the Bicentennial park, the athletic complex, Beaver o=pond islands, the Granger pond and Hancock pond boat launches.
