    • Located in Aroostook County is the world’s largest complete 3-D, 40-mile long scale model of the solar system, representing from the Sun to Pluto. The model was built by various Aroostook County community members and was formally unveiled in June 2003.
  • Shoe Tree US-1, Hodgdon, ME 04730 (near the Jackins Settlement Rd)
    • With 150 pairs of shoes or more, this maple tree is an interesting sight to see!

    • Located in Aroostook County is the world’s largest complete 3-D, 40-mile long scale model of the solar system, representing from the Sun to Pluto. The model was built by various Aroostook County community members and was formally unveiled in June 2003. Neptune and Pluto are both located along Route 1 in Littleton!

  • Coos Canyon Byron, ME 04275
    • Located right in the center of Byron, this canyon and 32 foot gorge are a popular spot for swimming, picnics, and panning for gold in the famed Swift River!
  • EC and MI Record Homestead 8 Bean Rd, Buckfield, ME 04220
    • This historic homestead, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is one of few well-preserved examples of the Federal-Greek Revival architectural style.
  • Evans Notch Overlook Hwy 113, South Oxford, ME 03813
    • The view from Evans Notch is not to be missed! This point marks the divide between the Saco and Androscoggin River watersheds.

    • This route takes around 2.5 hours and is 52 miles long, known for looking at fall foliage and has breathtaking views.
  • Sarampus Falls Rte 27, North Franklin, ME 04936
    • This lovely roadside waterfall offers a nice, kid-friendly swimming hole, picnic and grilling area, and public restrooms.
  • Scenic Byway Carrabassett Valley, ME 04947
    • State Route 27 goes through many historic and beautiful areas and stretches all the way to the Canadian border.

    • This roadside overlook is a great place to pull over and enjoy a panoramic view. Typically less crowded than the nearby Height of Land, this is a hidden gem!
