Madawaska Moose

    • This is the first park dedicated to long-distance motorcycling, and is also one of Southern California’s Official Four Corners Tour checkpoint! For completing the tour, there is a special event and you also get a spot on their website with everyone who has completed the tour.
  • Tour de la Vallee Madawaska and Fort Kent, ME
    • 69-mile bicycle route that goes from Fort Kent through Madawaska, down past the shores of Long Lake and then back to Fort Kent.

Events

  • Acadian Festival 328 St. Thomas St, Madawaska, ME 04756
    • This festival occurs every August as a four-day event celebrating Acadian culture with many fun activities including vendors, food, parades, live music, and more.
  • Top O’ Maine Trade Show Madawaska Multi-Purpose Center, 160 7th Ave, Madawaska, ME 04756
    • This is one of the largest trade shows north of Bangor, with over 75 exhibitors displaying products and services from various trades.

    • Multi-use trail with biking, hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing with multiple trails and difficulties for all ages.

Historic

  • Maine Acadian Culture Museum PO Box 88, Madawaska, ME 04756
    • “Maine’s Franco-American heritage dates back to early French explorers, Acadian settlers and French missionaries.” Go back in time to see life in an Acadian village!
  • Martin Acadian Homestead and Learning Center 137 St. Catherine St, Madawaska, ME 04756
    • This nonprofit corporation is dedicated to preserving and sharing historical information and activities of the region. The Martin Acadian Homestead was built in 1860, added to the National Registry of Historic Places in 2009, and was incorporated as the Martin Acadian Homestead and Learning Center in 2019.
  • Tante Blanche Museum 774B Main St, Madawaska, ME 04756
    • 1970s log building named after Marguerite Blanche Thibodeau Cyr in honor of her heroic deeds during the 1797 famine. This is where you can learn more about the history and heritage of the town’s settlers. It is maintained by the Madawaska Historical Society.

    • Boat launching ramp on the St. John River great for canoes or small boats. Overnight campers are allowed for a small fee as well.
