The building housing Hamlin Memorial Library, named for the nephew of former Vice President Hannibal Hamlin who purchased and donated the building, was originally the Oxford County Jail, making it one of the most unique-looking libraries with a colorful history.
This historic garden is one of the most beloved public gardens in Maine. For over 80 years the garden has offered a quiet place to visit and appreciate a wide variety of interesting native and imported plants and flowers. Nowadays the garden also offers events, classes, and plant sales, which are not-to-be-missed!
