The primary mission of this organization will be to create a Science Festival event that brings science based student organizations on campus and a variety of scientific research departments on campus together in the overall mission of science based community outreach. The goal of this event will be to engage members of the UMaine community on and off campus and get more people interested in science through engaging with on campus departments and clubs. Besides the planning of this event, the club’s overall mission is to spread the passion for research and scientific discovery that is so present on the UMaine campus to members of the surrounding community. This will also be done through focusing on smaller activities such as engaging with educational organizations in the community and holding smaller fundraisers for science and education based organizations in the Orono-Bangor area.
