Hilltop Dining Commons

UMaine Dining Services is committed to sustainability. They source over 20% of food purchases locally, including food grown on campus. This is in addition to composting, reducing over-purchasing of food and food prep waste, trayless dining, ensuring proper storage techniques, staff training and education, and campus recycling programs. At Hilltop Dining Commons, there is a food pulper that pulps food waste which is then composted in the campus composting system. Check out the UMaine Dining Services website for more information.
