I joined the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Maine in 2017 as an Assistant Professor. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo in 2014. From 2015-2017, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at MIT working in the Process Systems Engineering Laboratory.
My research is concerned with modeling and analyzing hybrid systems, which display a mixture of continuous and discrete behavior. My work in hybrid dynamical systems finds overlap in control and optimization theory and applications in mathematical biology and areas of engineering.
