Julia Kaplan

My name is Julia Kaplan and I am from Hull, MA! I’m going into my junior year at UMaine, and I’m studying ecology and environmental science with a double minor in economics and business administration. I’m on the crew team, and in addition to being a peer advisor and academic coach, I will be doing research with my academic advisor, Dr. Bell, on rural forested communities in Maine. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym and hanging out with friends.

Being a first generation college student, I understand the challenges of being away from home for the first time. The great thing about UMaine is that there are a ton of resources available, and if those resources are taken advantage of, the transition to college becomes a lot easier.  I’m available to help with utilizing those resources as well as time management and organizational skills.
