Graduate Assistant in Human Dimensions of Wildlife
Available Position: MS Graduate Assistantship

Responsibilities:
Incumbent will study a human dimensions of wildlife conservation issue in Maine or potentially in the north east. Work includes surveying an identified sample population using quantitative social science methods. Skills in quantitative methods and analysis (e.g. SPSS, R, Lisrel), and wildlife-related field experience is desirable. Experience in the interface of social science/conservation is preferred, and an ability to interact and communicate professionally is essential. Research approaches may be developed to suit interests.
Qualifications:
- Degree in bio, environmental science or equivalent, quantitative skills, interested in the social science of wildlife conservation.
- GPA of 3.2+ and GRE of 300+ (1200+) desired.
- Language(s): English (required) and French (not required but helpful)

Salary: $20,133 per year (2 yr), $1220 toward health insurance, tuition waiver. Funding is renewed annually. One year of TA support is anticipated.
