Engineering Job Fair – Thursday, Oct 16th
If you have a major in engineering, engineering technologies or computer science and you’re looking for a job or an internship, then come to the University of Maine’s Engineering Job Fair next Thursday! At least 85 different organizations will be present looking for future interns and employees. For anyone looking to make the most out of the job fair, check out the Career Center’s career fair tips.
The event will go from 10 AM to 3 PM in the New Balance Student Recreation Center on October 16th. For more information and a list of all of the organizations participating, check out the event listing here.
Shortly following the career fair will be a networking reception for Project>Login. Project>Login is program of Educate Maine, a business-led education advocacy organization. The goal of Project>Login is to increase the number of qualified professionals going into careers in computer science and technology in the state of Maine. In order to help Maine students build connections, over the next few weeks the organization will hold five networking receptions at different colleges across the state. The October 16th reception will be an opportunity for University of Maine students to meet IT professionals and recruiters from Maine companies. It will take place from 4 PM to 6 PM in the Bangor Room of the Memorial Union. More information can be found on the Project>Login website here.
