RiSE June Summer Conference 2018
Integrating Research & Practice: Using STEM Disciplines to Build 21st Century Workplace Skills
Join this community of PK-12 educators for an exciting two days of plenary talks, workshops, and opportunities for discussion. drawing from examples in mathematics and the science disciplines, the conference program will focus on strategies to help students succeed in the STEM classroom.
The conference is open to PK-12 STEM educators who want to strengthen and support STEM education in the Maine STEM Partnership (MSP) Community and in their school and/or district. *New this year, there is a $100.00 conference fee for participants due by June 15th.
Stipends and contact hours are available to eligible teachers who participate in the entire conference. On-campus housing during the conference is offered at no cost for those who live more than 70 miles away.
Location: University of Maine Campus
Hours: On-site registration opens at 4:30 pm Sunday June 24, 2018, followed by dinner and Key Note speaker from 6:00-8:00 pm. The conference will continue Monday June 25, from 8:30 – 6:00pm and Tuesday June 26 from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
Details: Dinner Sunday will be provided. Lunch vouchers will be provided for Monday and Tuesday.
