Training for Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI)
Prior to submitting a request for extramural funding, each Investigator (PI or Co-PI) named in a proposal must successfully complete the web-based Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Conflicts of Interest training – see Instructions for CITI Training (Word).
- The training takes about 20 minutes to complete.
- Passing score for quizzes is 80%.
- The CITI training is valid for four years from the date of completion. CITI will send reminders when it is time to retake the training.
The training contains the following modules:
- Financial Conflicts of Interest: Overview, Investigator Responsibilities, and COI Rules
- Institutional Responsibilities as They Affect Investigators
- Conflicts of Commitment and Conscience
