Gītā Jayantī is the date that Lord Krishna revealed the Bhagvad Gītā to Prince Arjuna while on the Kurukshetra battlefield. It is recorded in the epic Mahabharata and as a sacred text of its own. It is celebrated annually on Shukla Ekadashi, the 11th day of the waxing moon in the Hindu month of Margashirsha.
