Two students with pizzaWould you like to spend the Fall 2022 semester helping your campus community to vote in this year’s election? Apply to be a UMaine Student Voting Ambassador today!

Working with our on-campus UMaine UVote Program, UMaine Student Voting Ambassadors will play an important role in ensuring that we have robust campus turnout in this election. Those who are chosen for this position will assist students in registering to vote, requesting absentee ballots, and enabling access to non-partisan information required to make an informed choice.  

Fellows will get paid for empowering fellow Black Bears to vote!

Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Open to students in any major or program at any point in their academic career.
  • Ambassadors must be willing to commit to this position for 4-5 hours a week through mid-November. 
  • This position will involve a flexible mixture of online and in-person organizing. 
  • Ambassadors commit to a model of non-partisan engagement, working to ensure that all individuals who want to vote are provided the means to do so. 

Benefits:

  • Fellows will be paid on an hourly basis for their on-campus work and their collaboration with the Town of Orono.
