Biobased Maine LogoBiobased Maine (formerly the Sustainable Bioplastics Council of Maine) is an innovative, non-profit trade association working to create and support Maine’s emerging bioplastics industry. Biobased Maine works with businesses, researchers, and policy makers to help develop and bring to market new products that are biodegradable, non-toxic, and compostable. The UMaine PDC collaborates with Biobased Maine on projects that will help create jobs, replace petroleum-based plastics, and protect workers, consumers and the environment.
