Maine Forest Fiber – Providing Sustainable Solutions to Packaging and Building Products
Discover how our collaborators in industry are working to develop and commercialize forest-based materials.
INNOVATION This center will house the equipment and resources to process wood residuals, chips, and fibers into in-demand sustainable products, largely packaging. This collaborative space will allow researchers and entrepreneurs to work together to take their ideas from bench to pilot scale and beyond.
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT We will also have learning spaces to inspire K-12 students to seek careers in the forest products industries, and offer programs to upskill workers.
