Cellulose Nanofibers and Research-based Art

The researchers at the University of Maine, Process Development Center and the Intermedia Studies graduate students have been exploring the applications of nanocellulose fibers as a new medium for artists.  This collaboration is unique only to the University of Maine at Orono because of the Process Development Center’s ability to produce this nontoxic material and the Intermedia’s program to facilitate the exploration of this local resource.
