UMaine Nursing: WGS Minor Track

To obtain a WGS minor with Nursing BSN degree, a total of 18 additional credits are needed. Nine of those credits are already required in the standard nursing curriculum. An additional 9 credits (or three 3-credit courses) are needed within the WGS department to earn the minor. Below is a suggested outline to meet his WGS minor requirements. .

*The total credits required by the University to graduate with a BSN are 121. Choosing to pursue a WGS minor and follow this pathway will add 3 credits, putting the total credits at 124. Despite the extra class, taking a minor can be an enriching option for nursing students.

**The School of Nursing cannot guarantee off-term offerings. If there is low student interest or faculty are unavailable, we may not be able to run a course. In this circumstance, the student should talk with their advisor about alternative options.
