Press Herald interviews Golet on health of local bluefin fishery

The Portland Press Herald interviewed Walt Golet, assistant professor of marine science at the University of Maine, on the abundance of local bluefish tuna in the Gulf of Maine. “By all accounts, right now, everybody is [in] agreement that bluefin are doing well,” Golet said. “I get this question all the time: ‘Should we eat bluefin?’ It’s local, it’s abundant and it’s good for you. So you should absolutely eat it.”
