Applications for I-Corps October 2024 cohort due Oct. 7
The Office of Strategic Partnerships, Innovation, Resources and Engagement (SPIRE) has opened applications for Cohort 24.1 of the Innovation Corps, or I-Corps, program, which begins on Oct. 17. Applications are due by the close of business on Monday, Oct. 7.
I-Corps is a National Science Foundation-funded customer discovery program that teaches faculty, staff and students how to take the first steps to move research from the lab to the real world. The program runs six weeks and consists of a half-day kickoff session, two coaching sessions and a final presentation.
At the kickoff session, teams will learn what it means to achieve product-market fit and how to conduct interviews. Teams are then expected to complete at least 12 customer or relevant party interviews during the next several weeks. They will meet with the I-Corps program staff twice during the cohort to provide updates on their progress and receive further guidance. Finally, teams will make a “Lessons Learned” presentation during a half-day wrap-up session at the end of the cohort.
