BDN interviews Lilley, Knight for articles on tractor safety, livestock
The Bangor Daily News interviewed Jason Lilley, a Maine sustainable agriculture and maple industry educator with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension and assistant Extension professor, and Colt Knight, a livestock educator with UMaine Extension and associate Extension professor. Lilley talked to the BDN for a story about risk factors and safety precautions for operating tractors. Knight gave the BDN recommendations on how to calculate the amount of livestock families or farmers will need to raise based on the amount of meat they need to produce.
