News Center highlights ASCC’s wood fiber insulation R & D

News Center Maine highlighted the research and development partnership between the University of Maine Advanced Structures and Composites Center and the co-founders of TimberHP to create wood fiber insulation. The insulation, made from wood chips, is renewable, recyclable and carbon-negative. It is being produced at an old paper mill in Madison and has gained interest from several state lumber and building material dealers, as well as a national homebuilder.
