Maine Monitor features economic study on ponds from UMaine
A recent study from the University of Maine and Maine Department of Environmental Protection titled “Valuing the Economic Benefits of Maine’s Great Ponds in the 21st Century” was featured in a report from The Maine Monitor. It found that Maine’s lakes and ponds provide approximately $14 billion per year in economic impact. The Portland Press Herald shared the report from The Maine Monitor.
