BDN highlights UMaine alumnus Batchelder ahead of entrepreneurial competition
The Bangor Daily News highlighted the research and achievements of Kendra Batchelder, co-founder/CEO of Waved Medical LLC and a University of Maine alumna. She and her company will be competing for $25,000 in the Top Gun Showcase Pitch Event during the Maine Entrepreneurs Summit after recently winning the Regional Top Gun Pitch. Batchelder applied her graduate research from UMaine to invent early detection software for breast cancer in women at high risk in collaboration with UMaine professor of biomedical engineering, Andre Khalil.
