News Center interviews Charney on bobcat population in Maine

News Center Maine interviewed University of Maine assistant professor of conservation biology Noah Charney for details about the bobcat population living in Maine. Following a car accident in which a bobcat was injured and taken to Saco River Wildlife Center for recovery, Charney said the state has a large number of bobcats and they thrive living near humans. “They’re near humans and are impacted by humans, and we just don’t see them that much because they tend to be out at night,” said Charney.
