Charney, Laatsch interviewed by BDN on animal reactions to eclipses

Bangor Daily News interviewed University of Maine assistant professor of conservation biology Noah Charney and director of the Versant Power Astronomy Center Shawn Laatsch on how animals react to a solar eclipse. Charney said he has observed daytime and nocturnal insects change behavior. Laatsch, who has seen five solar eclipses, talked about how the weather may affect animal reactions and recalled an eclipse when he watched dolphins come out of the water to observe the sky. The Piscataquis Observer shared the BDN report.
