UMaine Extension offers introduction to beekeeping course in Machias starting Feb. 7
University of Maine Cooperative Extension is offering an eight-session introduction to beekeeping course from 6-7:30 p.m. every Wednesday from Feb. 7-March 27 in Room 102 of the University of Maine at Machias’ Science Building, 116 O’Brien Ave.

The course is designed to provide participants with valuable knowledge and practical skills to start their own beekeeping journey.
The course fee is $75 per person, or per couple if sharing materials. Participants will receive a free copy of the book “Simple Smart Beekeeping,” by Kirsten S. and Michael J. Traynor.
