Laatsch discusses total solar eclipse citizen science research with WABI
WABI interviewed Shawn Laatsch, director of the Versant Power Astronomy Center at the University of Maine, about helping coordinate a nationwide citizen science research project involving the 2024 total solar eclipse in April. “The difference between seeing a partial and a total is the difference between basically seeing a lightning bug or getting hit by lightning. It really is that dramatic,” Laatsch said. The Daily Bulldog and Bangor Daily News also highlighted the work.
