Media highlight Maine Farm to School Institute project
The Bangor Daily News, the Portland Press Herald, the Penobscot Bay Pilot and The Franklin Journal and Morning Ag Clips highlighted a University of Maine-led effort to create a Maine Farm to School Institute. Jade McNamara, assistant professor of human nutrition, is spearheading development of the institute, which will help rural middle and high schools promote and source local food, and educate students about what they eat.
