AP News reports on funding for UMaine baby lobster research

The Associated Press reported on University of Maine scientists receiving $400,000 to expand research into baby lobsters. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Sea Grant American Lobster Initiative awarded the funds, which will help researchers, including UMaine Lobster Institute director Rick Wahle, investigate the relationship between baby lobster’s food supply and both changes in ocean conditions and larval distribution. U.S. News and World Report, the Portland Press Herald, Centralmaine.com, WABI (Channel 5), the Connecticut Post, The Register Citizen, the Shelton Herald and the Times Union shared the AP report.
