Cape Cod Times discusses plight of right whales with Pershing
The Cape Cod Times spoke with Andrew Pershing, a University of Maine associate professor with the Climate Change Institute, about fishing practices and accelerated warming in the Gulf of Maine that are impacting the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale. Pershing and other researchers recently published three studies that indicate the right whale may be headed for extinction if significant changes are not immediately implemented.
