Bangor Daily advances boat retrospective featuring 3Dirigo
The Bangor Daily News promoted “200 Years of Maine Boats,” a retrospective exhibit of Maine’s boat building history Aug. 13–15 at Buoy Park in Rockland. 3Dirigo, a boat designed and 3D-printed at the Advanced Structures and Composites Center at the University of Maine, will be on display at the event, which is sponsored by Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors magazine. 3Dirigo is the largest 3D printed object in the world and exemplifies the most modern boat building method.
