Online Career Transformation Lunch-and-Learn Series offered by Hutchinson Center
Registration is open for an online professional development program, “Career Transformation Lunch-and-Learn Series,” offered noon–1 p.m. April 9, 16 and 23 through the University of Maine Hutchinson Center.
Participants will learn to differentiate themselves from other job applicants with specific networking, resume writing and interviewing strategies shared during these casual lunch-and-learn sessions.
Topics include “Building Your Professional Network: Letting Your Connections Work for You” on April 9; “Resume Building Workshop: Making Your Story Come Alive,” April 16; and “Improving Your Interviewing Skills: It’s Not Bragging If It’s a Fact,” April 23.
Facilitator Tom Dowd, who received a communication degree from the University of Delaware, is a prize-winning speaker, an Amazon best-selling author and an experienced trainer and coach. He is a member of Toastmasters International, the National Speakers Association, the Maine Career Development Association and the Maine Adult Education Association.
The cost for all three sessions is $75; participants may select single sessions for $30 each. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available for individuals who live or work in Knox or Waldo counties.
