Wahle, Bouchard talk about reducing lobster shrinkage with Hakai Magazine

Rick Wahle, a University of Maine research professor with the School of Marine Sciences, was interviewed for a story in Hakai Magazine about testing two new sensor technologies designed to monitor the health of lobsters as they move through the supply chain after capture. Aquatic animal health specialist and assistant professor Deborah Bouchard noted that natural fisheries surveillance of this kind is rare. The project aims to test the MockLobster and C-Hat technologies at six Maine sites, gathering data from an estimated 3,000 lobsters over two years.
