UMaine Extension offers cybersecurity workshop

University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer a cybersecurity workshop 9–11 a.m. Oct. 25 at the Penobscot County office, 307 Maine Ave., Bangor.

The free public workshop will provide participants an overview of the types of real-life risks and emerging threats small businesses and nonprofits face daily. Led by Bangor Savings Bank chief information security officer Russell Patton, the workshop will focus on how business owners and nonprofit managers can protect their data and their clients with easy-to-implement security recommendations.
