Extend the season, make fall fruit drinks, ciders, syrups

Extend the fall harvest season by making fruit-based beverages from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24, at the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Cumberland County office, 75 Clearwater Drive, Falmouth.

The “Drinking the Harvest” workshop includes making fruit shrubs, cider, juices and syrups. Instructors will be UMaine Extension educator Kathy Savoie, home food preservation education assistant Kate McCarty and Eli Cayer of Urban Farm Fermentory in Portland.
