Mallory comments in AP wheat story

Ellen Mallory, a UMaine Cooperative Extension sustainable agriculture specialist, is quoted in an Associated Press story about the resurgence of wheat farming in New England.   Consumer interest in locally produced foods is a key factor in renewed interest in wheat crops.  Until the 1800s, most of the nation’s wheat was grown in New England.
