Newcastle arts center, UMaine Extension awarded NEA grant, Boothbay Register reports
Boothbay Register reported Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts in Newcastle has been awarded a $35,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The Art Works: Creativity Connects grant was awarded to support a series of public programs in collaboration with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, according to the article. The programs will bring ceramic art masters, scientists, writers and others working in natural resource-based industries in Maine together to examine intersections between art and contemporary environmental issues, the article states.
