Bridie McGreavy presents at Maine CCAP meeting

On November 10, the Maine Climate Change Adaptation Providers Network (CCAP) held its annual meeting. Bridie McGreavy, associate professor in the Department of Communication and Journalism at UMaine and a Mitchell Center faculty fellow, presented in a session on voice, equity and communication action planning.

Since 2010, CCAP has sought to provide a gathering space for climate change adaptation and resilience initiatives and knowledge sharing. The group is made up of 75 members representing 32 agencies, research and nonprofit organizations and has collated an inventory of more than 80 municipal-scale climate change adaptation efforts that now act as case studies for broader implementation.

Collaborating Toward Climate Solutions, a new project connected with CCAP and led by Esperanza Stancioff, was funded by a Mitchell Center sustainability grant for fiscal year 2021.
