Speaker: Ian D. Dickey, MD, FRCSC Assistant Professor, University of Colorado Dept. of Orthopaedics
Dr. Dickey is an Orthopaedic Oncologist. He did his undergraduate and medical school at the University of British Columbia, and then completed his internship and residency in Orthopaedics at McGill University, followed by a fellowship with two years of Adult Reconstruction and Musculoskeletal Oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
He is an adjunct professor in Biomedical Engineering as well as External Faculty of the Graduate School at the University of Maine, where he also received an honorary Francis Crowe degree in 2006. He maintains a collaborative laboratory looking at in-vitro and in-vivo models of tissue attachment in additive manufactured highly porous foams.
Dr. Dickey is the chair of the EAB for the Biomedical Engineering Undergraduate program at the University of Maine. In addition, he is the current president of the Franklin Hindson Sim Tumor Society.
Originally from Vancouver, BC, is now practicing in Denver, Colorado as an Assistant Professor with the University of Colorado Department of Orthopaedics and the Eastern Colorado Veterans Administration.
