Fulbright UK Summer Institutes
The Fulbright UK Summer Institutes are three to four week programs for US undergraduate students, who have no or very little travel experience outside North America. Participants can explore the culture, heritage, and history of the UK while experiencing higher education at a UK university.
For 2024, students can choose from six universities:
- University of St Andrews (Scotland)
- Queen’s University Belfast (Northern Ireland)
- University of Bristol (England)
- University of Exeter (England)
- Aberystwyth University (Wales)
- Glasgow School of Art & the University of Strathclyde (Scotland)
Each Institute focuses on a different topic, allowing you to expand your knowledge of your particular area of interest. Outside of the classroom, there will be opportunities to explore the UK cultural sites.

Eligibility:
- Be a US citizen
- Have had no or very little study/travel experience outside of North America
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.7
- Be at least 18 years old by the start of the program
- Have at least two years of undergraduate study remaining after the Institute finishes (August 2024)
