Course Description: Exposes graduate students to the basic themes of American history and a wide range of readings.  Key topics to be addressed include colonial, urban, diplomatic, labor, political, legal, business, western, New England, cultural, women’s, southern and African-American history, and the history of technology.  (Taught annually.)
