Why did you decide to become a GSG senator?: To represent my program.
How would you best serve your constituents?: Voice their concerns, answer their questions – represent them.
Please tell us about your research or some fun facts about you: My dissertation explores intermedial studies as a methodology to understand how different media forms interact, translate, and transform across cultural contexts in the 21st century, examining cases from avant-garde poetry and Fluxus art to e-waste and AI-generated media. Through the lens of “Déjà Vu” and other theoretical frameworks, it argues that understanding these intermedial relationships is crucial for addressing contemporary challenges around technology, ecology, and social justice while developing more sustainable and equitable approaches to media production and consumption. Fun fact: I am a studio artist, expanded cinema director, and a fan of pinball. My hometown is San Antonio, TX; Go Spurs Go!
How do you plan on communicating with your constituents?: Through our group chats, meeting spaces and email
