Why did you decide to become a GSG senator?: I became a GSG senator to help facilitate communication between my graduate program, other graduate programs, and the rest of UMaine. I want to help my fellow students stay informed about events, resources, grants, and other opportunities.

How would you best serve your constituents?: I strive to serve my constituents by providing timely communication about important updates, and other resources they may find beneficial.

Please tell us about your research or some fun facts about you: I am a fourth-year PhD candidate in the Ishaq Lab. My research focuses on using bioinformatics to study the interactions of diet (especially broccoli sprouts), inflammatory bowel disease, and the gut microbiome.

How do you plan on communicating with your constituents?: Regularly via email, and at monthly meetings.
