Business Administration

The Maine Business School offers a single Master of Business Administration program, which consists of 30 credits. In a 10-course format, the UMaine MBA program is able to be completed in a reasonable amount of time.

Our MBA program is referred to as “the Essential MBA” because it is designed to provide students with essential business knowledge in accounting, finance, marketing, and management, as well as to advance skills in leadership, critical thinking and analysis, and global engagement.

On-campus students can also choose the Accounting MBA, which also consists of 30 credits. This is an accounting concentration most appropriate for students with an undergraduate accounting degree, although others can pursue the Accounting MBA after completing the required prerequisites.

Where is it offered?

The MBA program is offered in Orono, Portland, and fully online to meet you where you are!

How do I know it is a quality program?

The Maine Business School was ranked by U.S. News and World Report as one of the top 200 Business Schools in the nation. In addition, the UMaine MBA program is fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a standard of excellence achieved by fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide.

Our faculty are all active researchers and consultants in their fields, and several have won awards for their teaching in addition to their research.
