THE MBS BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

The Maine Business School offers a Business Administration Certificate program, which consists of 15 credits and is designed to advance your career and prepare you for bigger roles. For many students, the certificate serves as a pathway toward admission to the MaineMBA, and graduate-level courses taken in the certificate may transfer to the MaineMBA upon admission.

what will I study?

FOUNDATION COURSES

To ensure that all students have a foundation of business core concepts, prior coursework in the following areas is required:

  • Accounting (financial and managerial)
  • Economics (macro and micro)
  • Statistics
  • Finance

Students can complete foundational skills via online foundation courses prior to starting the certificate courses. All students are welcome to take foundation courses to help solidify their skills and prepare them for success.

GRADUATE CERTIFICATE CURRICULUM

Students should choose any five (5) courses from the following list:

  • Strategic Data Analysis (BUA 601)
  • Global Supply Chain Network (MBA 637)
  • Financial Statement Analysis (MBA 609)
  • Foundations of Business Intelligence (BUA 680)
  • Management of Contemporary Organizations (MBA 626)
  • Managerial Marketing (MBA 670)
  • Financial Management (MBA 651)

Degrees offered: Graduate Certificate

Program Format: On Campus or Online

Application deadline: Rolling, however international applicants seeking an F-1 or J-1 student visa to study in-person in the United States will only be admitted to our MBA program's fall semester cohort. International students who wish to complete the program online from their home country may apply and start in any semester. Special exceptions may be considered for students currently in the U.S. on a student visa.
