Susan Hathaway Glines Scholarship
The Susan Hathaway Glines Scholarship was made possible through a generous donation by Susan Hathaway Glines to the University of Maine Foundation. Ms. Glines is an alumna of UMaine and an educator who served Maine’s Oxford County for many years.
The scholarship will provide funding to one graduate student who lives and teaches in Oxford County for full- or part-time study in the UMaine College of Education and Human Development. This renewable award may be used for tuition, fees, books and related materials, and necessary equipment such as a computer or tablet. These funds may also be used to cover relevant training and professional development costs (e.g., conference travel and lodging). The scholarship is restricted to educators that reside and teach in Oxford County.
Questions regarding the Susan Hathaway Glines Scholarship should be directed to Jim Artesani, associate dean for graduate studies, research and outreach at arthur.artesani@maine.edu. The college asks that students interested in the scholarship fill out a short application, available for download below. The application is due Nov. 1.
