Bio: Trudy Eldridge taught second, fifth and fourth grades in Belfast, Maine schools for 35 years. For 10 of those years, she held the head teacher position, assisting the principal of three buildings with student management, planning parent-teacher functions, and handling daily routines in the absence of the principal. She was an active member of her local teachers association and was on the team sent to Augusta to be trained, and to write the plan her district adopted for certification of teachers. The plan was adopted by several districts and she served for three years as the head of district certification. She was active in bringing new plans for management to her school, and for training staff and families in the new plan. Trudy has worked for the University of Maine College of Education and Human Development for 10 years as a supervisor of student interns, and as an instructor of seminars for student interns and field placement. For the past six years, she has instructed the capstone seminar for the college as well. Trudy was an active member of Waldo County for Restorative Justice and worked in several roles to help teenagers who had committed crimes. She is a graduate and proud alumnus of the University of Maine.
